Artweeks exhibition at Naomi’s Café Bar

Oxfordshire Artweeks has started in Oxford so it is now just two weeks until it arrives here in North Oxfordshire!

I’ve been really busy over the last few months getting ready for my first Artweeks exhibition at Naomi’s Café Bar.  And I’m very excited by the new series of original mixed-media paintings I will have on show – all inspired by my own childhood memories of being allowed to draw on the walls when the house was being decorated.

I’m also inviting you to make your mark on Artweeks by putting your own creativity into a large ‘interactive’ piece I have created especially for the week.

My exhibition runs from 21 – 30 May (all the details here).  You can also see some of my work at The Mill Arts Centre in Banbury, Banbury Museum Shop, The Jam Factory in Oxford, and Oxford Town Hall throughout May.

I hope to see you then!

As featured in Teddy Bear Times magazine

If you know my work then you’ll know I often paint teddy bears.  So what better place for my artworks to be featured than Teddy Bear Times magazine?

It’s great to see my original paintings gracing the pages of this national publication.  And I must thank Rachel Prew Photography for bringing the article to life with her fantastic photos.

You can see more of my teddy paintings in my online gallery, and buy selected teddy prints and cards in my online shop.  And if you have a special teddy you’d like painting, just get in touch.

My entry into the Change the World art competition

I’m excited to say that I’ve submitted a piece into the Change the World Contemporary Art Competition….  I’ve done the painting, now I need your help with the votes!

‘Fresh Scribbles’ is a new mixed-media artwork, that I’ve painted to fit in with the theme of the competition.  Hopefully the painting speaks for itself, but I have written a bit of blurb about it alongside my entry if you want to find out more.

Please vote online here!  Thank you.

Artweeks is in the air

It’s March which means Spring is in the air and Oxfordshire Artweeks is around the corner!  The longest-running and biggest annual open studio event in the UK happens here in Oxfordshire every May.  This year I am thrilled to be part of it.

I’ve got lots more painting to do between now and then but am already buzzing with excitement.  North Oxfordshire’s Artweek is taking place from 21st – 30th May and I will be at Naomi’s Café Bar – Art & More for the week;  with an exhibition of my artworks, and painting on site.

Exciting times ahead, so put it in your diary ready!

I paint because I love to and it means a lot when other people love my work too.  You can keep up with all the news from the awards, taking place on 16th April, at #nmawards2016 .
